The new sandwich shop opened in Maple Grove in August.

Joining other new businesses such as and at Dunkirk Shopping Center, opened for business in August.

“Maple Grove is a vibrant, growing community with fantastic residents, workers and businesses. I decided to place the store along Dunkirk Lane just south of I-94 because the area has high traffic but not very many dining options,” Which Wich franchisee owner Garrett Ebling wrote in an email to Patch.

The new business employs about 30 people at the Maple Grove location. Nationally there are 170 locations, with four in the Twin Cities and two more slated to open this fall, according to Ebling.

Fifty-one different sandwiches, called wiches, are offered as well as dozens of different toppings on either toasted or not toasted bread. Salad options, oven-baked cookies and real ice cream shakes are available as well. The business also caters to local businesses and offices.

When guests enter Which Wich, they use a red marker to make their selections on pre-printed menus on sandwich bags and select a sandwich from one of 10 categories, choosing type of bread, size, cheese, spreads and vegetables.

“The sandwiches are prepared to guests’ exact specifications and delivered in personalized sandwich bags. After they’ve enjoyed their wiches, guests are encouraged to draw on their bags with the same red Sharpies and hang their 'artwork' on the community wall,” according to the Which Wich website.

“We are excited to be part of the Maple Grove community, and proud to serve you the best sandwiches in town.” Ebling said.
