Menards Maple Grove Expands, Holds Grand Re-Grand Opening

The home improvement store has several special guests appearances scheduled from April 23 through April 28, including John Randle and Kent Hrbek, as part of the week.

As part of a re-grand opening celebration, in Maple Grove will have several activities scheduled throughout the week of April 21 to April 28.

“We really appreciate everyone’s patience while we expanded the store,” says Bill Krier, Maple Grove Menards General Manager said in a press release. “We added a beautiful garden center, outside warehouse in our full service lumberyard, mega racking, more room for patio displays and much more inventory. The re-grand opening is a time to celebrate all of the great changes we made, plus we’ll have product demonstrations, prizes every day and appearances by John Randle and Kent Hrbek.”

According to Menards, appearances are “subject to change or cancellation without notice.” For both John Randle and Kent Hrbek, the autograph line “two free autographs....autograph line subject to close at 7:15 p.m."

6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 23

Randle played 11 seasons with the Vikings and three years with the Seattle Seahawks. Randle was a six-time All-Pro, seven time Pro Bowl selection and named to the Vikings Ring of Honor in 2008 and was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his second year of eligibility.

Kent Hrbek 

6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 25

Kent Hrbek played his entire 14-year career with his hometown Twins and often remembered for his grand slam home run in Game Six of the 1987 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals, and for helping lead the Twins to World Series championships in both 1987 and 1991.

Paul Menard’s #27 Car & Matt Crafton’s #88 Truck

8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 28

8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Sunday, April 29

Paul Menard’s #27 RCR Racing/Menards Race Car and Matt Crafton’s #88 Thorsport Racing/Menards Race Truck will be on display. The vehicles will be located near the insulation aisle in the back of the store.

John Gage – Chainsaw Carving

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 28

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 29

Watch chainsaw artist, John Gage, make woodcarvings with amazing detail from simple logs. Gage’s carvings will be available for public sale.
