Friendly Frozen Yogurt Shop Opens Next Week in Maple Grove

The friendliest yogurt shop on earth is opening in Maple Grove.

Menchie’s opens its newest location at 8097 Wedgewood Lane North in Maple Grove on Saturday, Dec. 14. Menchie's offers self-serve frozen yogurt. The business has the goal of being "the friendliest place on earth with a mission to make every guest smile."

“I was attracted to Menchie's because it is the number one self-serve frozen yogurt brand with wide appeal based upon a simple mission; creating smiles,” said franchisee, Peter Goldreich. “The focus on the overall guest experience is what makes the brand so successful. My wife and I are delighted to bring this unique frozen yogurt experience to the Maple Grove community.”

The new self-serve store offers an experience that is welcoming, fun and interactive, with arts and crafts for kids, music and indoor/outdoor seating areas.  Guests can choose from a variety of rotating yogurt flavors and toppings for unlimited combinations.

Menchie’s representatives say the company is committed to giving back to each community it serves. Stores partner with local schools in fundraising activities and education incentive programs. Each Menchie’s store donates thousands of dollars in cash and products annually to local schools to support student programs. 

Menchie's products are made from the milk of California cows, which have not been treated with artificial growth hormones (rBST). Menchie’s frozen yogurt contains live and active cultures and has received the Live and Active Culture (LAC) seal indicating its endorsement by the National Yogurt Association.

Time: 5 to 6 p.m.

Details: $1 yumm hour-fill up your cup for $1

Day: Tuesday, Dec. 17

Time: 2 to 4 p.m.

Details: Kids eat free: One cup per child up to 10 oz. Must be 10 years of age or younger.
