Construction Starts at Wedgewood Commerce Center in Maple Grove

The Maple Grove City Council approved the multi-tenant retail building last month.

Construction has begun for the new 6,500 square-foot multi-tenant retail building at the Shops of Wedgewood, which recently received approval from the Maple Grove City Council.

The retail addition, near Wedgewood Lane and Bass Lake Road in southern Maple Grove, received conceptual approval for a retail building in 2005 according to documents provided to Maple Grove planning commission. The PUD development stage plan and final plat were approved by the Maple Grove City Council in October.

The architecture proposed for the site will be similar to other buildings in the area.

No potential tenants have been announced for the building yet, although the proposal does have the drive-though land around the building to “accommodate a coffee shop,” according to a site representative at the October meeting. Nearby businesses include Solos Pizza Cafe and CVS.
