Celebrate Singles Awareness Day in Maple Grove

If you're single on Valentine's Day, the world is your oyster!

If you haven’t been shot with Cupid’s arrow yet or your Valentine is yet to be found because he or she is still hiding under a rock, fear not.

You have a whole list of things to celebrate on Feb. 14, also known to many as Singles Awareness Day.

It’s great to be single on Valentine's Day because you don’t have to please anyone or care about anyone’s opinion of what you want to do. Go see that horrible or cheesy movie that you’d never go to on a date at the AMC Theater.

You can also really enjoy being with your friends. Get a group together and go see "Elvis" in concert at The Lookout Bar & Grill or register for a class at the Paint Pub.

If art or music, isn’t your thing, try out a fitness class at Life Time Fitness in Maple Grove with friends to get your endorphin count up.

You also have the freedom to date around. If you want to take the plunge into the world of online dating, sign up for a site—you can always shut it down and pretend like it never happened if you don’t like it!

Getting dressed up to go to a party is fun, but sometimes it’s even better when you can dress down for a party in your pajamas. Get takeout from one of Maple Grove's many restaurants or order a pizza, put on a mud mask, read magazines and watch your favorite movies.

Another reason to celebrate is that you can schedule a day of relaxation whenever you want. Go get a manicure and pedicure at Marcdaniel Salon and a cute new outfit at Mainstream Boutique.

You also don’t have to decorate your home to fit anyone else’s taste. Go buy yourself a new item HomeGoods.

And the best thing of all—you don’t have to split a bottle of wine with anyone. Pick up a non-shareable bottle at Princeton's Liquors.
