Becker Furniture World Reportedly to Fill Former Target Site

The furniture store will reportedly opening a new store in Maple Grove, filling the vacant building located next to Big Lots.

As part of the ongoing in Maple Grove, Becker Furniture will reportedly be opening a store in the former Target building.

The store is anticipated to fill in the last remaining piece of the former Target building along Dunkirk Lane along with and .

A permit was issued by the city of Maple Grove to Becker Furniture on the site March 12, according to Larry Huff, chief plans examiner with the . He said the city did not have an estimated opening date for the new business and indicated it was about a 55,000 square-foot space. Mid-America Real Estate representative Johnny Reimann previously indicated to Patch that Becker Furniture could possibly have a summer opening.

Becker Furniture World has four other Minnesota locations in Blaine, Becker, Burnsville and Roseville. According to its website, Becker offers living room, bedroom, dining room, home office, entertainment, mattresses, patio and entertainment furnishings.

Maple Grove Patch has contacted Becker Furniture World for a comment, but has not received a response. More information will be updated as it becomes available.
