Throughout the summer, the city of Maple Grove hosts multiple free events at , located at 7991 Main St. N.
Consider bringing a lawn chair or blanket for performances, although there is a terraced wall seating for 300 in the band shell area. Free parking is available and events are subject to change. Concessions are sold during the performance times; picnic, cooler or takeout containers are welcome.
This week at Town Green in Maple Grove, the following performances are scheduled:
Monday, June 13 at 7 p.m. – Maple Grove Jazz Ensemble
Wednesday, June 15 at 7 p.m. – Concrete Surgery featuring R&B and funk music
Thursday, June 16 at 11 a.m. – Sticks and Tones featuring upbeats music for kids
Friday, June 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. – Teen Battle of the Bands
The Teen Battle of the Bands is one of several special events taking place throughout the summer at Town Green. Six bands will perform for the top spot. The top band receives a recording session, an opportunity to perform during Maple Grove Days Saturday, July 16 and the top two bands will be able to participate in Music Mayhem at the 2011 Minnesota State Fair.
