Maple Grove Arts Center: Screenwriting Seminar With Leo Benvenuti and Scott Hansen

The Chicago fine artist and Hollywood Screenwriter, Producer and Director, Leo Benvenuti, who's penned some family films like Santa Clause and Space Jam, is going to hold his debut Minnesota art exhibit at the Maple Grove Arts Center March 7-April 6 in a show called "Open Hand."

• Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays thru Saturdays and 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

• A Chicago-based artist with ongoing representation in galleries in L.A.’s, “Majestical Roof” and “The Fake Gallery” and upcoming shows in Northbrook, Illinois at “The Y Art Gallery,” Benvenuti's work is featured in collections in Los Angeles and other places.

Benvenuti will follow the exhibition with an Screenwriting Seminar 1-4 p.m. April 6 with additional insight on how write jokes for the screen and stage by stand-up comedian and writer Scott Hansen).

The two will also perform together that same evening at a place yet to be determined (watch www.comedygallery.com for the location).
