Book Reading By Author Mary Desjarlais

Local author Mary Desjarlais will be appearing at Dick's Bar in Osseo for a reading of her new book, "Dorie LaValle."

According to Desjarlais' website, the book was inspired by the author's great-aunt who sold moonshine in Osseo during the 1920's. The reading will include stories of familiar places along Osseo's main street and countryside that are the setting for the dramatic story.

Author Mary DesJarlais is a descendant of the DesJarlais and Setzler families, early pioneers of Brooklyn Township and Osseo.
