Valentine's Day 2013: Romantic Events in Three Rivers Parks

Planning your evening for Feb. 14? Want to celebrate Valentine's Day earlier? Three Rivers Park District hosts a variety of activities Feb. 9-14, 2013.

Victorian Valentine’s Dinner

Saturday, Feb.  9, from 6-9 p.m. at The Landing-Minnesota River Heritage Park, Shakopee, for a “Victorian Valentine’s Dinner.” Listen to a pianist play romantic melodies as you have hors d’oeuvres and dinner in the intimate Town Hall. Then set out for an evening stroll in the candlelit Town Square where you visit several buildings, each offering a different dessert.  Dinner will be served from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Bring your own bottle of wine if you wish — must be 21 or older.  Cost is $35 per person and reservations are required by Feb. 6. Valentine’s Dinner and Candlelit Cross-Country Ski

Have a romantic meal in the Baker Ski Chalet at Baker Park Reserve in Maple Plain 6-10 p.m. Feb. 9. After a catered dinner, experience the romance of a candlelit cross-country ski through the winter woods. When you finish, a campfire awaits you and your sweetheart. Ski equipment is available at no extra charge. Optional: Bring your own wine — must be 21 or older.  Cost is $25 per person and reservations are required by Feb. 7. Valentine's Day Dinner and Sleigh Rides

Visit Gale Woods Farm in Mound 5-11 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 for a romantic, locally raised dinner prepared by Common Roots Catering. Snuggle up with your sweetheart on a horse-drawn sleigh ride through luminary-lit pastures. Relax and have dessert and hot beverages while cuddling by the fireplace, meet our animals, and try snowshoeing and sledding. $60/person. Reservations required by Feb. 1. Valentine’s Day Dinner and Outdoor Lights

Have a romantic dinner and evening activities at Eastman Nature Center in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. Dinner is roast beef or baked turkey with appetizers, steamed vegetables, salad, potato, rolls, coffee or punch. Bring your own bottle of wine or beer if you wish. Live music during dinner, then stroll along a luminary-lit trail to a bonfire. Reservations required by Feb. 10. Phone reservations only. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation. This program is for ages 21+. 

Candlelight and Chocolate

Richardson Nature Center will be hosting Candlelight and Chocolate 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. Stop by the nature center, snowshoe through a luminary lit winter woods, stargaze and more. Sample a variety of chocolates while listening to live acoustic music. Hot beverages included. Snowshoes, ice cleats and kicksleds provided. Cost is $12 per person, reservations required. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation. This program is for ages 18+.

Valentine’s Dinner

Head to Silverwood Park in St. Anthony for an evening supper and dessert. Food catered by Common Roots Café. Live entertainment followed by a walk along a candlelit trail or kicksleds for a ride around the islands in the lake. Warm up by the outdoor bonfire. Reservations by Feb. 8. Cost is $35 per person.
