Snow and Blowing Snow Expected in Maple Grove

A Winter Weather Advisory begins Friday at midnight and will last until Saturday at 6 p.m.

We are looking at yet another Winter Weather Advisory for Maple Grove.

The advisory begins tonight at midnight and remains in effect until 6 p.m. on Saturday.

According to National Weather Service:

* IMPACTS FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW: SNOW WILL SPREAD ACROSS MINNESOTA AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND LAST UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING. 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW WITH STRONG WINDS AND BLOWING SNOW ARE EXPECTED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW THE AROUND... AND ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING... ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS. 

SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY...

ANOTHER BURST OF SNOW AND WIND IS EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY WHEN ANOTHER SYSTEM DROPS DOWN OUT OF CANADA. FAR WESTERN AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA WILL ONLY SEE AN INCH OR TWO OF SNOW... BUT WINDS BETWEEN 30 AND 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED ON SATURDAY CREATING AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. FARTHER NORTH AND EAST... NEAR THE I-94 CORRIDOR... BLUSTERY WINDS AND A FEW INCHES OF NEW SNOW COULD MAKE FOR DIFFICULT TRAVEL LATE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY.
