Last Chance: Maple Grove Energy Efficient Home Open House

It is the last weekend to attend the open house of Maple Grove's Net Zero Energy Challenge winners.

Editor's Note: "Last Chance" is a new feature that aims to help remind readers of deadlines they don't want to miss.

The Maple Grove Net Zero Energy Home Challenges winners will have one final weekend open house to showcase and share the energy efficiency measures used to build the home.

The free open house is noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 at 6952 Everest Lane North in the Cedar Estates neighborhood.

Geothermal heating, a Thermomass foundation system, and special insulation are components that make the Tom and Terry Pelligrino’s house one of the most energy efficient homes in Maple Grove – saving the couple about $3,000 a year in energy costs, thanks to the Maple Grove Net Zero Energy Challenge.

Do you know about an important upcoming deadline? Share it in the comments below and we’ll consider including it in our next Last Chance feature. Also, consider posting your own events and announcements on Maple Grove Patch.
