Hennepin County Library's Adds New Features to Mobile App

The free mobile app offered through the Hennepin County Library system gives patrons the ability to download titles onto their mobile device, access their account and search for books.

Whether you visit the in person or online, you can take the book searching to your smartphone with the library’s new mobile app.

Hennepin County Library recently announced that it added two new features to the Hennepin County Library’s free mobile app:

  •  There will be a dedicated category for downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks. Patrons can search for and download titles directly onto their mobile device, as well as access their digital account.
  • Patrons can scan ISBN barcodes on books with their smartphone’s camera to check to see if the titles are in Hennepin County Library’s catalog and place requests immediately.

If you already have Hennepin County Library’s mobile app installed on your smartphone, you will need the updated version. The easiest way to download or update the library’s mobile app is to go to hclib.org through your smartphone and select “Download our app.”  Or follow the link at the bottom of Hennepin County Library’s home page at www.hclib.org
