Groups or individuals seeking service projects to benefit the environment have several options in the Three Rivers Park District

Adopt-a-Garden: ongoing, growing season

Planting Events: For more information or to register, visit greatrivergreening.org or call 651-665-9500 #11. Scott County in partnership with Three Rivers Park District.

  • 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 18 at Cedar Lake Farm Regional Park, New Prague 
  • 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Spring Lake Regional Park, Prior Lake

Gardening, Gale Woods Farm: Groups of 4-30 may arrange to work at the farm (weekdays) to help with the needs of the day such as gardening (planting, watering, pulling weeds, etc.), barn clean-up and wool skirting. All ages possible, middle school and older ideal. Email Three Rivers Parks for more information.

Park Clean-Up: Independent park clean-up. One-time or ongoing; spring and fall have the greatest need. Groups should contact the park in advance. Best for small groups. Information and Instructions l Registration and Reporting Form

Prairie Seed Collection: Tuesdays and Saturdays, late August-mid October. Various park locations.

Buckthorn removal: October/November.
