Free Introduction to Geocaching at Maple Grove Days
Maple Grove Days, July 14-17, is less than a month away. Make sure to check out Maple Grove Patch each day for some of the many events taking place during the citywide event.
Have you always wanted to learn geocaching but didn’t know how to get started?
A free introduction to geocaching lesson will be available during Maple Grove Days on Saturday, July 16. Learn how to use a GPS unit to find a treasure box, called a cache, hidden by other geocachers. GPS units will be provided and organizers suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes and dressing weather appropriate.
Preregistration is required for one of three lessons that start at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon at the Three Rivers Park District Nature area near school. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
