Children’s Activities at Three Rivers Parks

Feed the birds and learn about turkeys with upcoming Three Rivers parks activities for Nov. 20-21, 2012 in the north metro.

Doodlebugs

Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., or 1-3 p.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Each week’s activities are based on a different children’s book with a nature-inspired art theme. Dress for the weather and bring a light snack, water bottle, and a bag to keep all your projects together. Cost is $10 and reservations are required. My Preschooler & Me: Puppet Escapades — Turkeys

Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 10-11 a.m., at Kroening Interpretive Center, in North Mississippi Regional Park, Brooklyn Center. Join in turkey’s adventures. After the show, do a turkey activity and go on a “turkey hunt” outside. Cost is $4 and reservations are required. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation and reference activity number #416903-06. Wednesday, Nov. 21, from 10-11:30 a.m., at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, Brooklyn Park. Come meet the different birds that call Minnesota home. We’ll read stories, go on a bird walk, and make a bird feeder that you can use at home to observe birds all winter. Cost is $5 and reservations are required.
