The Morning Traveling Ski Club meets on Wednesday mornings, Jan. 2 through Feb. 20, from 10-11:30 a.m. The club will meet at Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove, on Jan. 2 and 9, at Hyland Lake Park Reserve, Bloomington, on Jan. 16 and 23, at French Regional Park, Plymouth, on Jan. 30 and Feb. 6, and at Baker Park Reserve, Medina, on Feb. 13 and 20. Sunday, Dec.30, from 10-11:30 a.m., at Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove. This lesson covers cross-country skiing basics, including putting on equipment, falling down and getting up, diagonal stride, stopping, turning, and a brief introduction to small hills. For novice skiers and those who want to review. Cost is $18 or 28 with ski rental. This lesson is for ages 13+. Reference activity number #122388-06.
Ski-Skating I: Basics
Thursday, Jan. 3, from 7-9 p.m., at Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove. Learn beginning ski-skating techniques, including efficient edging, gliding and control. Prior classic skiing experience is recommended. Cost is $22 or $37 with ski rental. This lesson is for ages 13+. Reference activity number #122391-07.
