Beginning Aug. 9, motorists will encounter a weekend road closure and a detour on northbound Highway 169 as crews continue resurfacing the road, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
At 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, northbound Highway 169 between Highway 55 and Brooklyn Boulevard will close. Ramps are anticipated to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12.

The $12.2 million project is aimed at improving the road surface, installing new guardrails, and improving bus lanes and pedestrian accessibility.
