Home Base Theatre is a musical theatre company built by Maple Grove Senior High alumni.  Its mission is to nurture and provide the Maple Grove community with a year-round season of theatre by fostering alumni performers in professional theatrical productions. Home Base Theatre in turn provides developmental resources and financial scholarships for students from the Maple Grove Senior High Theatre and Music Department: past, present, and future.

Presenting The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in July, this multiple Tony Award winning musical comedy centers on a spelling bee in the fictitious Putnam Valley Middle School.  On the edge of puberty, six quirky “adolescents” compete in the contest run by three equally quirky grown- ups.  Spelling Bee will leave you laughing and clapping as you watch these “adolescents” compete for the championship.  You too may be asked to compete, so brush up on your spelling and study your dictionary for your spot in Spelling Bee!
