Close encounters with wild birds. See wild songbirds as they are safely trapped, studied, banded and released. On Saturday, July 7, from 9 a.m.-noon, at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, 10360 West River Road, Brooklyn Park, you’ll learn how to identify birds in the hand and you may get a chance to hear a bird’s heartbeat and help release it. Drop in anytime.
This program is free and open to all ages.
