Located at 13320 Grove Drive in Maple Grove, the former Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant was built on the site in 1989 and has remained vacant for several years.
The building is currently up for sale at a listing price of $1.2 million, according to Streeter Companies. The building is 3,500 square feet on an acre of land and located next to Midas. Patch has not received a response to a request for additional information about the KFC property from Streeter Companies.
According to Hennepin County property information records, the property is owned by Maple Grove Foods Inc. based in Minneapolis. The total market value as of January 2011 is estimated by Hennepin County to be approximately $834,700.

So glad this is being brought! I have driven past that eyesore for MANY years and just don't understand why the spot can't be filled! It seems rather ideal to me! How about a Bruegger's?!!!!

Sorry, it's not being bought. We did a story on it to give people an opportunity to see what was currently happening with the site and offer suggestions of what they would like to see go in there.
Here's some suggestions people had on Facebook as well. Any thoughts on these ideas? bagel place, Dunkin Donuts, organic fast food, Pizza Ranch, Bob's Produce Ranch, Popeye's --

I would think the store hasn't been used for so long that it would make more sense to destroy the building and start over. Brueggers is a good option.
