Top 10 Things to Do During Spring Break in Maple Grove

It’s spring break week for students in the Osseo School District.

Are your kids bored during their spring break? Here’s Patch's top 10 tips of things to do in Maple Grove during spring break.

Maple Grove Community Center

If you’re looking for a day indoors during spring break, the Maple Grove Community Center has a variety of activities to keep the kids busy. Try out the Grove Cove Aquatic Center with water slide, Maple Maze Indoor Playground or encourage your teen to hang out at the Teen Center. 

Paint It Green: Japanese Chirimen Art

The Maple Grove Library is hosting an event called “Paint It Green: Japanese Chirimen Art” on Wednesday, March 27 for children in kindergarten through first grade. The event is free, but space may be limited and registration is required. Details can be found on the Maple Grove Library website.

ProKart Indoor Racing

Have a need for speed? Check out the go-cart track at ProKart Indoor Racing, which includes a 2/10 mile indoor track as well as 1/4 mile indoor/outdoor track that is open weather permitting. Check out the ProKart Indoor Racing website for hours and prices.

Play at a Park

Maple Grove is home to more than 20 parks and playgrounds throughout the city. Explore a new park or visit popular neighborhood parks such as the Weaver Lake Park or Elm Creek Park Reserve Play Area. Share your top playground picks by sharing your park rating and comments on Maple Grove Patch.

Maple Grove Dome

Give your kids a chance to wear off some excess energy by exploring the new Maple Grove Dome by Maple Grove Senior High. Check out the city of Maple Grove website for open dome dates. 

Tour the Student Art Show

Take a tour of the Student Art Show in its final week on display at the Maple Grove Government Center. It’s free and the art produced by students in the Osseo School District 279 is displayed 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until March 31.

Take a Nature Hike

Even if snow remains on the ground, winter hiking is still an option at Fish Lake and Eagle Regional Parks. Check out the Three Rivers Parks District websitefor details on the trail system and winter hiking

Get Crafty

Check out several Maple Grove craft stores, such as Michaels or JoAnn Fabric and Crafts, to find craft kits for kids to make. Share some craft time with your kids at Color Me Mine by painting a ceramic piece – check out the Color Me Mine website for details. 

Playing and Pizza

Find food and arcade games at Dave & Busters or Chuck E. Cheese.

Take in a Movie
