Possible New Expansion Targeted for Dunkirk Square in Maple Grove
The Maple Grove Planning Commission is scheduled to hear a request at the Feb. 11 meeting.
Businesses at Dunkirk Square in Maple Grove could possibly have new neighbors in the future.
An application has been made to the city of Maple Grove for a PUD concept amendment and development stage plan “for the purpose of constructing a 10,168 square foot multi-tenant retail building,” according to Jan. 14 staff report to the Maple Grove Planning Commission.
The commission was scheduled to hear the matter at their Jan. 14 meeting. However, the applicant requested the item be tabled until the Feb. 11, 2013 meeting.
The document provided the Maple Grove Planning Commission stated the applicant is submitting a request to the city for construction of “an outlot parcel on the property currently leased to Rainbow Foods, Hallmark and Anytime Fitness.”
Construction of 10,040 square feet of rentable space for multiple tenants is being proposed.
“Applicant has prospective retail tenants for the outlot parcel that include the potential relocation of Hallmark, fast casual dining, fast food and service retailers,” according to planning commission documents.
Once the matter is heard by the Maple Grove Planning Commission, the PUD concept amendment and development stage plan will proceed to the Maple Grove City Council for consideration.
