Possible Criminal Sexual Conduct Near Rice Lake
Maple Grove police are investigating a report of a criminal sexual assault that took place this morning on the Rice Lake walking path.
On June 21 at about 9:48 a.m., a woman called the Maple Grove Police Department to report an incident of possible criminal sexual conduct.
The woman said the assault took place near the 9100 block of Upland Lane North, close to the Rice Lake walking path, according to a Maple Grove Police press release.
Maple Grove police are actively investigating the case and looking for the public’s help in finding the suspect.
According to a press release from the Maple Grove Police Department:
The suspect of the incident was described as a white male, approximately 5 foot six inches to 6 feet tall, and in his late teens or early 20s. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans.
The suspect arrived on foot and was carrying a backpack and a black metal box. He fled the scene traveling north on the path.
