Jeff and Toni Fluke have lived in the Maple Grove area for about 30 years, with she working in real estate and he as an accountant for "corporate America."

On Aug. 17, the couple will realize a dream and open a Great Harvest Bread Co. franchise in Maple Grove. Their new business will be located at 13714 Grove Drive in Maple Grove.

Watch the video above and see Jeff talk about why he wants to work with wheat.

After their grand opening on Aug. 17, the hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.  According to their website, there will be a full menu of breads and sweets, sandwiches as well as coffee and beverages.

If I recall, that was a Great Harvest Bread on Main Street across from the Claddagh Irish Pub a few years back, and I was really disappointed to see it close. So I'm happy to see another one will reopen nearby.

This is a good biz that will bring good things to Maple Grove. The White Castle, mmm - not so much

How can you say that? New business is wonderful for our city. It means new jobs, it means that our economy is doing well. If you think White Castle is only for low income people, then possibly you should open your mind a little. I have friends that make 6 figures that love White Castle. How about instead of closing Maple Grove off to those you deem inappropriate, you remember that there are many people with different needs in this world...

Becky, well said. Jarrod, it seems like the only thing you post in these articles is your disdain for While Castle. Are you a McDonald's shareholder, or what's the deal? White Castle is no different from McDonald's, Wendy's, or any other artery-clogging fast food chain. As Becky said, people of all income ranges eat at WC.

Jarrod,

It seems that you stick in anti-White Castle posts anywhere you can here on Patch, but have yet to explain why you are so anti-White Castle? I don't get it - so many of the people that I know that actually do like White Castle make well over the six figure mark, and even if they didn't and were poor - Maple Grove isn't turning into North Minneapolis just because White Castle moved in.
As a realtor, I am shocked that you would express such opinions so blatantly, especially since you never know who your next potential client may be and if they would find your comments offensive. Are you telling your sellers to get out of Maple Grove because of White Castle, and are you telling your buyers not to move to Maple Grove because of White Castle? Or are you still making commissions off of sales in the area, despite your stance?

Personally, I am indifferent to White Castle as I have never actually tried it myself, however I am happy to see new businesses open in what seemed to be bound to be another abandoned strip mall. Now that was an eyesore!

Karen - That's what I thought, too. At any rate, I'm really happy to have this on this corner. I'm not too jazzed about the parking in this strip mall, but that won't be enough to keep me from getting some quality products.

I love Great Harvest and their products. My sister works at one of the locations and always brings us free goodies from there. It will be a great addition to MG again!

I am thrilled to see Great Harvest back in Maple Grove! We've had to get our breads at the Minnetonka location after the one on Main Street closed. So happy that it will be right out the back door again!

Whoa people, I did not read anything in Jarrod's post that smacks of White Castle as being strictly low income fare. While I might visit White Castle myself for nostalgic reasons (we always hit it after bar closing many years ago), I am glad to finally see food options in this area of MG as opposed to heading down into the madness. Personally, I would like to see something other than fast food chains up this way, we really could use a sit-down restaurant. Hey city hall, could you please consider that for those of us who live in the NW part of the city?
