Near Record High Predicted for Maple Grove Wednesday

The Rush Creek Golf Club driving range opens as forecasts call for a high near 72 Wednesday.

Maple Grove, along with most of the Twin Cities area, could see record high temperatures Wednesday.

Forecasts call for a high of near 72, according to the National Weather Service. The record high temperature of 62 degrees on March 14 was set back in 1990.

Temperatures are expected to continue to hover with a high around 70 for the rest of the week and early next week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

The warm weather is prompting the opening of the Rush Creek Golf Club driving range 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday with hitting off the mats only. An estimated opening date for the golf course has not been determined. A call to Three Rivers Park District to determine the opening date of the Elm Creek Park Reserve play area and Eagle Lake Regional Park golf course has not been returned.
