Maple Grove Police Identify Victim of Fatal Weaver Lake Road Accident

Police say Trina Renee Kincaid of Maple Grove was the pedestrian victim involved in the fatal traffic accident Aug. 23 near Weaver Lake Road and Main Street in Maple Grove.

 

A woman killed in a fatal vehicle/pedestrian accident Aug. 23 has been identified as Trina Renee Kincaid, 42, of Maple Grove, according to an Aug. 29 statement from the Maple Grove Police Department.

Maple Grove Police were called to the area of Weaver Lake Road and Main Street in Maple Grove about 1:36 a.m. Aug. 23 on a report an accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian, according to Maple Grove Police Capt. Keith Terlinden. Upon arriving, officers found the Kincaid deceased at the scene.

The driver has been identified by police as a 40-year-old Big Lake man. No criminal charges have been filed at this time. "We do not believe alcohol was a factor," Capt. Keith Terlinden told Patch in a previous interview.  

The Maple Grove Police Department continues its investigation into the traffic accident. Kincaid was identified with the assistance of the Hennepin County Crime Lab and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

Kincaid was formerly a resident of Decatur, Texas, according to the Wise County Messenger. Services are scheduled in Decatur for Aug. 31, 2012.
