Crews with the city of Maple Grove worked before the Thanksgiving holiday hang lights on the tree near the Maple Grove Government Center.

The tree lighting will take place at the conclusion of the Sleigh Bell and Sparkle Parade Dec. 1, 2012. The parade starts at 5 p.m. on Main Street in Maple Grove.

The route for the 2012 parade will begin at the corner of Schuler Shoes and continue north to Arbor Lakes Parkway by Dunn Bros. concluding with the final stop at the holiday tree on the corner by the government, according to the Maple Grove Community Organization website.
