iBeach Tan Plans Maple Grove Opening

The 24/7 tanning business will be located at Dunkirk Shopping Center.

Joining neighboring tenants Freeziac and Verizon Wireless, iBeach Tan is planning its opening at 9412 Dunkirk Lane N. in Maple Grove.

“We hope to be open by the end of the month,” iBeach Tan Operations Manager Dawn Lucas said during an early April interview. She said they are waiting for final approval from the city [of Maple Grove].

Once open, Lucas said there will initially be five tanning beds available at the facility and later expanded. While there will be staff hours at the Maple Grove location, members will have an opportunity to use the tanning services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Lucas compared the setup to Anytime Fitness, but with more security.

“We’re all about convenience,” she said. “With less staffing, there will be less cost for package prices.”

Since April 2011, several new businesses have opened in the Dunkirk Shopping Center area at Dunkirk Lane and County Road 30 in Maple Grove such as Discount Tire, Big Lots , Leeann Chin, Freeziac, Verizon Wireless, Pro-Cuts, Valvoline and Metro Self Storage.

White Castle and Becker World Furniture are reportedly to be eventually moving into the Dunkirk Shopping Center.
