Freeziac Opens Maple Grove

The new frozen yogurt based business is located in the Dunkirk Shopping Center.

A new frozen yogurt shop has opened in Maple Grove.

Freezaic opened April 9 at its location in the Dunkirk Shopping Center, located off County Road 30 and Dunkirk Lane in Maple Grove.

In addition to a variety of frozen yogurt flavors, patrons can top it off with toppings.

"Toppings are a big deal for us," Freeziac co-owner John Mallon said, stating they have an "abundance" of fresh fruit options and other toppings from granola to candies.

Its location near other businesses and residential neighborhoods was a draw for Freeziac co-owner John Mallon. “I like the fact that we’re also close to the hospital and high school,” Mallon said. “We’re near a lot of good retail space.”

Freeziac is located in a 1,200 square-foot space in the new mutli-tenant retail area and with about 10 employees. Mallon says it has a coffee shop environment, including comfortable furniture and Wi-Fi. Each store has a local feel with city specific photographs inside the store.

“We're striving to offer a comfortable place where you can hang out and meet your friends and family, as opposed to the cold, marble tabletops and uncomfortable "ice cream" chairs or the environment you'd find at more grab 'n' go places,” Mallon recently told City Pages.

The Maple Grove Freeziac will be the fourth Twin Cities location. Freeziac is also located in Plymouth, Eden Prairie and the Mall of America.

John Mallon and Randy Carmody are the founders of Freeziac. A fifth Freeziac location in Burnsville is expected to open in May.

Please as a diabetic looking for frozen yogurt no sugar added would be wonderful. When my family goes to your store I don't go because I don't want to sit there & can't have a treat. Please try to obtain no sugar added or low sugar frozen yogurt. Thanks.
