City Council Approves Purchase Agreement with Cedarcrest Development

The Maple Grove City Council recently authorized the city to sell 5.77 acres of land for residential development.

With approval by the Maple Grove City Council, the city is ready to move ahead with entering into a purchase agreement with Cedarcrest Development to sell off about 5.77 acres of land, according to documents from the May 21 city council meeting.

The land, located south of County Road 10 and east of Lawndale Lane, is considered “residual land” the city acquired for the County Road 10/Bass Lake Road alignment.

The authorization to enter into a purchase agreement included a purchase price of $369,280.

Cedarcrest Development a proposed plan for 61 single-family homes located south of Bass Lake Road, east of Lawndale Lane and west of Jewel Lane N. The city approved a comprehensive plan amendment, planned unit development (PUD) concept and development stage plan in March 2011.

Was the proposal also approved to change that area from medium density to low density?
