Homeschool Programs in Three Rivers Park District for September 2012

Kayaking

Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m.-noon, at French Regional Park, Plymouth. Beginning course focuses on technique, safety, and the joy of being out on the water. Learn about equipment, how to get in and out of a kayak properly, and how to be safe on the water. Become skilled at beginning paddling strokes including going forward, turning, and stopping. All equipment provided. Cost is $15 and reservations are required. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation and reference activity number #425023-00.  This program is for ages: 8-12.

Homeschool Fall Tram and Cider

Friday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m.- noon, or 1-3 p.m., at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Board our "Bluebird Express" tractor-drawn tram for an hour-long ride to view fall colors and spectacular park scenery. Crush crisp apples into fresh, tasty cider and learn the history of apple cidering. Cost is $5 and reservations are required.  Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation and reference activity number #412223-T1 for the morning session or #412223-T2 for the afternoon session. This program is designed for homeschoolers ages: 3-16.
