The holidays offer an opportunity to do something positive for others who are less fortunate. The Maple Grove Goodwill, 9530 Dunkirk Ln N, is asking neighbors to donate unwanted clothing and other items, in support of year-round programs that prepare people for work.
"In a season focused on buying, many people also want to give something back to their communities," said Lisa Ritter, director of marketing. “Even when funds are tight, everyone can do themselves, their community and the earth a favor by donating items they no longer use."
Goodwill is asking for the following items:

- Electronics
- Furniture
- Gift cards from any store, in any amount
- Kitchenware
- Sporting goods
- Unwanted holiday gifts
- Video and computer games
- Cars, trucks, boats and RVs in any condition – free pickup service available
