Girl Scout Troop 10001 participated in the Centennial Day of Service on Saturday, October 13th at Weaver Lake Park.   Allii Scudder is currently a senior at Maple Grove Senior High and Katie Weinstock is a senior at Osseo Senior High.   Both girls have been in scouts for over 11 years and have participated in Girl Scout Gold Award projects.

Many additional Girl Scouts and volunteers of all ages from the Northern Lights Service Unit were in attendance at Weaver Lake Park for this special event.

For Centennial Day of Service, River Valleys’ Girl Scouts prevented 20,000 pounds of phosphorus from entering waterways by raking and bagging organic debris like grass and leaves.
