SPIRE and the Wolves team up for the Season of Giving

(Falcon Heights, MN – November 8, 2012) The holiday season in Minnesota conjures up images of bright lights, Balsam firs, and, sometimes, blizzards. SPIRE Federal Credit Union and the Minnesota Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation are bringing a little extra cheer to children and teens in our region through this year’s Season of Giving.

With events held throughout the month of December, the Season of Giving features a holiday toy drive for children at Amplatz Hospital; a Wolves player-escorted shopping spree for teens that are waiting to be adopted; grants to deserving community organizations; and the recognition of deserving individuals via on-court Heroes in the Making awards.

SPIRE’s ten branches will serve as drop-off locations for the toy drive. In addition, SPIRE employees, including President and CEO Dan Stoltz, will participate in the holiday shopping event as well as the grant winners and Heroes in the Making on-court presentations.

“This is our third year partnering with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and our partnership continues to grow,” said Stoltz. “We’re honored to be teaming up with their Foundation for such a worthy cause – brightening the holiday season for kids.”
